Literature Text

My love, whose heart shall be at rest,
  Drew in last breath within her sleep;
  My soul, forever, hers to keep,
Beneath silken cloth and fading breast.
 But as her body turns to dust,
   Angels sing out beyond my ear;
   And though I shed a single tear,
 My mind has shadowed, burnt with rust.
Whilst I sit to rue, lament,
  Sweetest nectar numbs the pain;
  The devil softly speaks my name,
But it is too late to repent;
 By now my sins have grown too far,
 And define the name of who you are.
So, I'm starting a youtube channel. Isn't that original of me?
I've decided to get started on it by revisiting my shitty old poems I wrote when I was a teenager.
This is a reworking of a poem I wrote in 2010, when I was a fresh faced 20 year old.
Now I'm a bitter, cynical 27 year old, and the old poem was shit.
It is a total atrocity.
Its existence is an affront to poetry as a collective, and the english language.
So anyway, I rewrote it into this, which is a lot better in my opinion.

You can check out the original poem here.

I like the picture you drew in this sonnet and i think you've created a good sonnet.
