Prince of Darkness
As I wander through the shadows
Where darkness looms and I do see
A figure nears; hark, it bellows
"I hear footsteps that near me!"
When he approaches on his guise
A mask is donned to hide his pain
"I walk alone," do say his eyes
"And so alone I must remain"
With voice as gentle as I dare
"This pain," I say, "that you must bare
"It's surely more than one can stand
"So please do take hold of my hand
"I'll take each step right here with you
"Together we shall see this through"

The Ghost of Blue Haven
It was about 3am as I wandered into the kitchen and stared out the window. It was a cold night, condensation was lining the inside of the window and all I could see was my own reflection staring back at me. My shoulders gave a shudder and I pulled my jacket tighter around myself, I reached out and turned the kettle on.
The hall way light flicked on and I looked up as, a moment later, my father wandered into the room. He stopped as he noticed me, his eyes darting from me to the kettle.
“I thought I heard someone up,” he said softly as he took a few tentative steps closer.
I just shrugged and opened the cupboard. “Tea?̶
Gone are the nights of restless sleep;
Unencumbered slumber but memories to keep
As I count sheep to a higher number.
Struck by the arrogant light of dawn;
Reprehensibly sensible, I utter a yawn
And mourn the rising of dawn so ineffable.
There's a shadow cast upon the wall,
From the TV that drones mindlessly, ignored;
Forlorn and forgotten, a face hangs.
Perhaps, one day, I shall see whose shadow is cast,
But every time I turn my head the shadow passes.

I can exhale and feel my breath, heart beating to the beat
With nodded head and tapping toe and sweating from the heat
It can be cathartic out here, the dance floor is lawless
But I'm lost within the haze for music is my solace

Form Challenge: Monotetra
As I watch the shadow nears,
Time descends from months to years--
Perhaps it shall allay my fears;
There were no tears, there were no tears
Her voice was all I could perceive,
Allowing me the room to breathe
And bringing focus back to me;
Do I believe? Do I believe...

The Rise and Fall of the Satanic Movement in Kanto
It was late in the evening in the Springtime. The days were getting longer, but the evenings were still quite cold.
The chill winds and the frosted morning were particularly scathing in Viridian City, a small city in South Western region of Kanto. Known as a great starting area for young trainers, Viridian City also marked the beginning of Victory Road, which leads to the Pokemon League at the Indigo Plateau.
Darnell was a businessman who ran a local store selling stones. It seemed like a flawed business model, but despite his initial concerns, the trainers seemed to be going crazy about them.
So on this cold, frosted morning, Darnell had

Afternoon of the Snorlax
The afternoon had been wearing on somewhat. By now the dishes had been completed and the washing was done and it was about time to hang it all out to dry.
“Hey, Bubbles, want to play outside for a bit?” I looked back over my shoulder at my little friend, Piplup, as she jumped excitedly. I smiled as I lifted to washing basket. “Could you get the door for me?”
Bubbles chirped happily and jumped for the door handle, but there was suddenly a tremendous crashing sound from outside. We both jumped in shock and exchanged a perplexed.
Bubbles grabbed the door handle but the door wouldn't budge. She looked up at me, appearin
